Quarterly Artist Grants
Each fiscal quarter, the Athens Area Arts Council awards grants of $500 to organizations, artists, or events in Athens, GA. With this grant, the AAAC aims to fulfill our mission of “connecting arts to the community” in meaningful, substantial, and sustainable ways.
Deadlines are March 15, June 15, September 15, and December 15.
Emerging Black Artist Scholarship
The AAAC is excited to launch a new initiative to support Black emerging artists in Athens. An evolution of our BEAM award, this $500 scholarship will be awarded annually to one Black artist (of any discipline) who graduated or will graduate from a Clarke County high school and is attending or has been accepted to a college or university to study the Arts. With this scholarship the AAAC hopes to help advance more Black voices in our artistic spaces and our cultural conversation.
