With a mission to connect Athens-area artists to the community, the AAAC has several outlets available to artists to further this goal.
• Fiscal Sponsorship
One service AAAC provides is the Fiscal Sponsorship, which allows fledgling nonprofit groups to achieve “nonprofit” status under the supervision of AAAC. Tax-deductible donations made to AAAC may be channeled to the designated organization, minus a small bookkeeping fee. This allows small organizations to accept tax-deductible contributions without having to go through the expensive process of seeking nonprofit status.
• Quarterly Grant
Each fiscal quarter, the Athens Area Arts Council grants $500 to organizations, artists, or events that best align with our mission in Athens, GA: “connecting arts to the community” in the most meaningful, substantial, and sustainable ways.

• Healthcare services
Athens Nurses Clinic offers low-cost healthcare for artists, anyone in the creative community or, to the community at large. These services are available by appointment only and only to individuals without access to health insurance or any other form of healthcare.
• Psychological services
Nuçi’s Space is an excellent resource for artists who find themselves struggling with any larger life issues. The organization offers counseling services for mental health as well as career issues, physical care and youth programs.
