The Athens Area Arts Council along with Athens Transit and Athens-Clarke County are teaming up to host a design competition for 4 unique bus-shelter units to be installed along a major transportation artery of Athens. It is our intention that each shelter will serve the riders of Athens Clarke County and function as a piece of public art. Additionally, our goal is to emphasize the public transportation system and the creative opportunity that we have in our built environment.
